A "Latte" of Work!

I am using a freebie from the Paper Shelter called Coffee Break and this poor thing looks like me right now trying to blog for the 31 Days of Halloween and the fabulous Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Colored with Spectrum Noir markers then digitally arranged on the paper that came with her (out of color cartridge in printer eek!).

Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

Welcome to the blog hop! This is my first time with the group and the hop but so fun!  I will keep this short and sweet so you can hop to the next person's blog!

I used the freebie created by Jessica Lynn Original gorgeous owl and his coffee for fall weather if you have it sadly I do not just a tease of coolness and a few shades of yellow and orange.  I colored him with Spectrum Noir Markers and layered some fallsy looking paper with a burlap look to it.

Great News at SUYP Cats Only Challenge!

Yup, our LeighSBDesigns is the sponsor for this month at the Show Us Your Pussies Cat Lover's Challenge #22 Furrything Goes!  What better pair than the lovely Ike and fabtastic Leigh!  I am chiming in on this challenge with the awesome Cleo the Egyptian Cat!

I looked up some quotes by Cleopatra herself and found some words spoken by a very determined lady!  This elegant fantasy Cleo the Egyptian Cat seems to bear the original Cleopatra's staunch and noble bearing!  So I printed one of my favorites to finish off my ATC and hope Cleo likes being teamed with it :)

Come join the fun and play along!  You might just win a free digi from our lovely sponsor and a badge of honor!

I am entering this in SURP #22 Furrything Goes

Japan Fall and Digitally Made Challenge #5 Fall

I was blessed to have my son take me to Japan for the second time last November a few weeks after my mom had passed of a lengthy fight with lung cancer.  It was heaven sent to be able to go and spend time in the lovely Japan and it was fall!!  The leaves changed full force while we were there and going to a lake close to Mt. Fuji was simply amazing; I had never ever seen so many fabulous colors!  Most of the shrines  and temples have gardens surrounding them and this one is in Narita I think? but the garden and koi fish were absolutely amazing!

The lovely digital image is by LeighSBDesigns and is named Neko!  I had colored the image and merged her and Neko the cat into this lovely fall scene in Japan.  Neko is eyeing those gorgeous koi fish so I am hoping he has been fed very recently!

I am off again in two weeks to catch the very beginning of fall in Japan with my son so more fun to play with when I come home loaded with pictures!

Digitally Made Challenge #5 FALL!

When most thing of fall they think of the gorgeous changing leaves unless you live in the South, U.S. We go from green to brown in a matter of days with just a few pops of red from our popcorn trees...nope they do not grow popcorn :(! and some mild yellows.  So my mind goes to pumpkins!  We have pumpkin patches and of course I love Halloween so there is the direction I take!  The theme at Digitally Made this month is Fall so I had my friend the pumpkin fairy do me a solid and with the help of her pet the wise old owl she zapped me some gorgeous pumpkins all from the Tumblefish Studios at Mischief Circus and the Dreams Funky Fairies Kit and the Halloween Kit. These kits were purchased as a going out of business sale but I think there might me some more fab Tumblefish Studio kits available; I just can't link up to these two.

I also used a Holiday Twinkle kit for the background after all fairies have magic and it sparkles!  One of the reasons I love them!  This also came from Mischief Circus but I am not sure of the creator's name....sorry!!!

Hope you are beginning to enjoy some fall coolness and beauty!

September and Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden Theme at Delicious Doodles Challenge!

I adore fairies and fairy houses!  I see people making them on Youtube and I am amazed!  To my delight this month at Delicious Doodles September Challenge the theme is "Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden"!  What fun and my teamies have done some amazing fairy house scenes so please stop by and leave them a ton of love!  I loved the image I decided to use as my fairy is looking up hands raised from the bottom of the garden.  The image is "Snowdrop Fairy" and I actually looked up or Googled as my dear friend Anne always tells me to do! what snowdrop flowers look like.  Well, they are lovely but white with very little color to them so I worked on several color combos to try and add my own hint of purple that some seem to contain but working with white and markers was not the best idea!  I should have used my Prisma colored pencils but I got to the point of being committed to making this work!  So after many layers including the Prisma's and changes of colors here is my Snowdrop Fairy.

I cut the image down from a four by six to fit a number 10 size kraft tag and mixed purple acrylic paint with modeling paste to stencil a layer of stars which sadly was completely covered up when all was said and done.  Stamped a flower from the Tuesday Morning (fabulous for strange and always changing craft supplies on the cheap!) using the same paint all around the top and edges, stenciled another star with flourishes at top and bottom same color, then I added some die cut greenery to help hide my fairy kindly sent to me by Adam from Sin City Stamps as a winning prize from a blog hop! I attached her with foam tape and added white Stickles everywhere even the little odd shape dodad I found laying in a craft drawer!  The word Believe was die cut from paper that I brayered with some Quinacridone Magenta and Quinacridone Gold acrylic paints and dried.  Some lovely eyelash ribbon and she is set to hide and enjoy her flowers!

Please get your fairy head on and show us your fairy at the bottom of the garden!  The theme can have so many interpretations I can't wait to see what you come up with so I can visit your blog and leave you some love!
